Conclusion

There were many acts of brutal violence on civil right activist throughout the southern portion of the United States. I think a lot of protestors were fearful that they would be attacked, beaten, or killed like the other civil rights activist before them. Because the protestors were aware of the possible dangerous repercussions that could arise from partaking in this protest, I applaud the courage of my grandparents and the other young activist that put everything on the line to make their voice heard and known through protest. Mrs. Jordan states, “Teenagers had to fight. The 60’s was a big rebellion with the white and black kids. As we got older, we were saying were not standing on the back of the bus, and what other people took before we were not gonna take it.” I think this generation had adapted the courageous attitude because they are more progressive and quicker to united and protest for the inequalities we deal with during this time period.
