Constitution and Code of Ethics

Among the important documents pertaining to the Tiger Brotherhood, their Constitution and Code of Ethics may be the most important. The Constitution and Code of Ethics outlined the behavioral and ethical standards set by the Tiger Brotherhood. Additionally, the Constitution made clear the duties required by each of the members. These documents established and helped maintain the respectable nature of the Tiger Brotherhood.

TIGER BROTHERHOOD.pdf

Pamphlet for an event hosted by the Tiger Brotherhood [1]

The pamphlet exhibited here indicates that welcoming new faculty was one of the roles the Tiger Brotherhood played in relation to the university. As hosts of an event honoring new faculty, the Tiger Brotherhood must have been heavily involved in outreach within the university faculty community as well. This insinuates that the Tiger Brotherhood had good relations with the university, at the time, given that they were entrusted with welcoming new faculty to campus.

T.B. Handouts.pdf

Common handout from the Tiger Brotherhood [2]

The handout pictured here is an example of a routine correspondence between the leaders of the Tiger Brotherhood and its members. The handout indicates important dates for the members of the Tiger Brotherhood to be aware of and events they should plan to attend. Handouts like this give great insight into how the Tiger Brotherhood was run. These handouts illustrate how the Tiger Brotherhood was structured similarly to how fraternities or sororities are structured today.

T.B. Emails.pdf

Email warning sent to members of the Tiger Brotherhood about hazing [3]

The email pictured is a correspondence from the Dean of Student Life. The email outlines a warning to Tiger Brotherhood members about hazing. The email indicates that the university has heard multiple accounts of hazing by the Tiger Brotherhood. The stern tone in this email illustrates that the university will not stand for hazing of any sort. The email hints that the Tiger Brotherhood will not be able to continue without some serious evolution away from hazing practices.
